Grand Falls Veterinary Clinic was established by Dr. René Massé in the late 1980s. Later he was joined by his daughter, Dr. Monique Massé, when she graduated in 1991. After practicing 2 years together he retired and left the business to his daughter. She has since hired additional team members to provide pets and their owners the best quality of care and services. This small dedicated team truly cares about your pet’s health and wellbeing.

Dr. Monique Massé (Veterinarian)
Monique grew up in Grand Falls NB. She obtained her Health Sciences Diploma from the University of Moncton, Edmundston Campus in 1987 and went on to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Monique has been working at the clinic ever since.
Dr. Valérie Carroll (Veterinarian)
Originally from Drummond NB, Dr. Carroll is the daughter of Dr. Massé and worked as a student at the clinic for 8 summers. She received her Diploma in Health Sciences from Université Sainte-Anne in 2016 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Université de Montréal in 2021.
Veterinary Technician
Raquel Rivard (Registered Veterinary Technician/Office Manager)
Raquel grew up in Grand Falls, NB, and has been part of our clinic since 1999. She earned her Veterinary Technician Diploma from Miramichi Career College in 2003 and also holds a grooming certification from JKL Dog and Cat Grooming. Today, Raquel brings her expertise to the clinic both as a Registered Veterinary Technician and as our Office Manager.
Sophie Rioux (Registered Veterinary Technician )
Sophie grew up in Drummond and joined our clinic in January 2019 as a receptionist. She later chose to further her career in veterinary medicine and pursued studies at Oulton College in Moncton, where she graduated as a Veterinary Technician in 2022.
Veterinary Assistant
Lisa Michaud (Veterinary Assistant)
Lisa grew up in Grand Falls, NB, and has been a dedicated member of our clinic since 1997. She began her career with us as a receptionist and was later trained in-clinic to assist the veterinarians. Lisa also holds a diploma as an Advisor of Integration Services, bringing additional skills and experience to her role.
Chantal Cyr (Veterinary Assistant)
Chantal grew up in Grand Falls and has been part of our team since 2017, initially working part-time before joining us full-time as a veterinary assistant in the fall of 2018. With extensive experience in animal care, she worked as a licensed groomer from 1994 to 2007 and later operated her own animal boarding facility from 2008 to 2012.
Jennifer McLaughlin (Veterinary Assistant)
Jennifer grew up in Grand Falls and brings with her many years of experience as a pharmacy assistant, along with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Assistance. Inspired by her love for animals, she chose to pursue a new career in veterinary medicine and has been a valued member of our team since January 2023.
Nadine St-Amand (Veterinary Assistant)
Nadine is originally from Grand Falls and first joined our clinic through her high school co-op program from February to June 2022. She later returned as a summer student and has since become a valued part-time veterinary assistant on our team.

Danielle Ouellette (Client service representative)
Danielle grew up in Drummond NB. She obtained her Veterinary Assistant Diploma from Oulton College in Moncton, New-Brunswick in 2004. She also has a grooming certification from JKL Dog and Cat Grooming. Danielle worked part time from 2005-2015. Since then Danielle has been working full time as a receptionist.
Annick Morin (Client service representative)
Annick grew up in Drummond, NB. She obtained her dental administrative assistant diploma from CDI college in Edmonton AB. Annick worked 20 years in Edmonton and moved back to her home town with her family in September 2019. She has been a great addition to the team since August 2020.
